General Overview As a Manufacturing Inspector on our Flex Team, you will provide a full range of inspection and disposition support for the Hot Runner Manufacturing Flex Cell, including support of all incoming manifold pre-inspections as well as in process secondary and final inspections, using a variety of manual inspection equipment (i.
e.
, micrometer, depth gage, ID mic, go / no-go pins, thread gage, borescope, etc.
).
This position is available on our day shift, Monday to Friday 5:
30am to 1:
30pm.
Key Responsibilities Accurately read product drawings and tolerances, including all steel features Inspect manifold features to ensure quality control standards meet the Quality Plan specifications.
Review all process documents to ensure all related manufacturing requirements are met.
Support investigation and root cause analysis on non-conformance and scrap events.
Communicate as required with team leader, quality analyst and programming support on findings to aid in containment and corrective actions.
Create inspection report documents to share with Refurbishment customers to highlight recommended repair or replacements.
Provide inspection findings to the Service, Sales, or Engineering teams as applicable for unknown solution investigations.
Documentation of non-conformities in our quality system (Baan).
Skills/Qualifications Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
Capable of using various inspection equipment, including, and not limited to, Shadow Graph, Bore Gages, Gage Blocks, Depth Micrometers, and Profilometers.
Working knowledge of MS office.
High school diploma or high school equivalency required.
3-5 years of quality assurance experience preferred.
Knowledgeable in interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with the ASME Y14.
5M-1994 and Y14.
5-2009 standards.
Ability to multitask and manage demanding time requirements.
A keen eye for detail and a results-driving approach.
Responsible and trustworthy.
Effective communication skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
